Roadtrip 2014: Going home again

Time to hit the road again. Why, cause I was tempted to be on my favorite training camp, starting 18, so I decided to go home again. Had only about 150 kilometers to go. And also my body was aching to be trained after being in a car doing the roadtrip. The seats in the Toyota are not as good as in a Volvo.

Going back to Vaxholm with the carferry Rindö-Vaxholm, yes again. Yes, I do like to go on ferry. You called me.

I had to do take a detour past the toll devices (road fees), so there were some more miles to drive, but here I think I´m on the right track after some wrong turns..

A truck has broken down by the side. I´m still glad I´m in my Toyota who wont let me down. (I think). :-)

By now I´ve been driving many hour every day and my knee started hurting, so I had to handle the gas throttle with my left leg. :-)

Look! A Nice Old volkswagen T2. These cars have huge charm. But the quality leavas a lot to be wish (I think). Yes, I´ve read lots of VW-forum about issues. Because they are old. With new motor it becomes more reliable. There a lots of options, atleast for the newer model T3.

Nice sidewindows also. Really well maintained.

Well that´s about it for now. We will see when the next roadtrip will be.

Roadtrip 2014: Big boats (Ferry) (Grönviksbadet)

Having found a nice place for the night I just relax and enjoy looking at the big boats in between working on the computer and listening to a good podcast. I love this simplicity. Feel so free! My mind can think when I´m alone. The weather were perfekt, the temperature perfect. One of the best scenery I´ve had in the car for the night. That says a lot.

Doing some notes about the day. This is a non glossy computer screen, the non glossy are useless in the car, atleast when the sun is shining. Becoms like a mirror, this doesn´t.

As you can see I found a free parking place with a great view.

As I sit here at Grönviksbadet and enjoy being close to the nature, ships are going by. I can compare the advertsing on them. Who do you think has the best look?

Since I like word I think I liked the German vessel the best.

Then a little later we have Silja Line with a bluish sky with clouds or something, and some ping-wins? Okey? Vale?

I´m using my 70-300 Tamron lens, it takes better pictures than the original lens.

One more, here with the car in foreground. :-)

And the vehicle that makes the road-trip possible. The Toyota Starlet of course. I´m very pleased with it. Just works. Simple, nothing fancy but itakes me from A to B without hazel.

And the we have a more whitish Viking Cinderella.

Roadtrip 2014: Going from Rindö to Vaxholm, part 1

Next to the island Rindö is Vaxholm. A well known tourist place in the summer. Decided to go check it out and see if I could find a nice spot for the evening. Car ferry between Vaxholm and Rindö in the Stockholm archipelago.

I think I will do two post about Vaxholm, this is the first part.

Here waiting for the ferry that will take me over to Vaxholm.

The weather showed it´best side. Lots of motorbikes out riding too.

Tried to find a place to park the car (for free) and then use the Miyata Bike to go sightseeing. There were not that many places you could park the car for free, but found some places i bit further from city of Vaxholm.

This was a nice place. Right next to a small beach. There were not many beaches here in Vaxholm.

After have checked out the city I went look for a nice place to sleep for the night. Could it be found? Here you could only park 4 hour at a time.. I later found a good place, but íll keep it to myself for know.

Roadtrip 2014: Leaving Solsidan and heading for Värmdö

Time to say goodbye to Solsidan and continue the Roadtrip..

So this is where I slept for the night, beautiful scenery and the weather couldn't be better!

Was looking for a place to eat. Värmdö market looked like a good shoot. Let´s try that!

I was tired of eating junk food so the plan was to find some "picking sallad" , sort of bulk, like bulk candy though more healthy. OF COURSE they did not have it!! WTF?

So I ended up with another bad lunch at Max burgers. It tastes good, but this is really bad food you know.

After eating I continued, heading for some island..

Värmdö-Rindö, the sign for where this car ferry takes you. It doesn't cost you a dime! Fantastic, a free boatride.

Time to get in the car again. It sure was a nice ride!
