Installing power cables into the Toyota Starlet

A couple of days ago I installed some power cables in the Toyota. Preparing for the coming Roadtrip 2014. I need this electic cables so that I can charge an extra batteri. Just like I did in my previous car. You can read about it here.

Route of the cables connecting to the 12 volt battery. The red cable goes to plus, and black to minus. (of course, to basic for you). The Fuse should be as close to the battery as possible.
Here you can see where the cables enters the engine wall.

And Volla! Here they are! Ready to be connected to the leisure battery. Coming soon. More about that later.

Roadtrip 2013: Visiting Fjällbacka

Have you ever heard of the writer Camilla Läckberg? No? Well anyhow, she is a swedish writer writing about murders in this town: Fjällbacka.

She was brought up in this town, and the town is now famous because of "Fjällbackamorden" stories.

So I was interested in seeing the town my self, therefore next on the roadtrip was Fjällbacka!

First visit for me. It was a really nice small town! It was a bit hard to find a parking space, but as with a good tourist friendly town, the parking was free on many parkinglots. Great! That is how the pros do it.

Fjällbacka, bigest parkinglot?
This is were I parked the Kia. And then took the bicycle for a ride. Ate an avocado and was ready to go biking. As you can see there is a toilet also. Very good.

The town Fjällbacka has some small uphills here and there. But also downhill.
First uphill to get into the town of Fjällbacka.

Can you climb this wall? I dont know if it is allowed.
Found a steep mountain and decided to take a picture of it.

Rain was in the air, checking out the small boat harbor.
Continued to Sjöräddningssällskapets (sea resque) station

The left of this picture there is a jumping tower. There were some people actually bathing in this weather.
Then continued to this bathing place. There was a lodging house / youth hostel if I remember correct quite close. If you aint sleeping in your car that might be something for you. :)

You want more Miyata pictures? Ok, settle down. I will handle your demands. ;)
Took a picture of the trustworhy old Miyata bike.

Wow, Who wouldnt want a Volkswagen Westfalia to cruise in on a roadtrip.?
Look, a VW Westfalia, nice car for a roadtrip dont ya think?

More parkinglots in Fjällbacka. Just so I know til next time.
Found another free parkinglot. This town is tourist friendly I must say.

Some nice big houses, to big for my taste, but looked good.

Another parking-lot, but a bit crowded. The pier has been closed also, unfortunattly
Parkinglot, the berth was closed due to poor bearing capacity

Sun terraces? But I did not see any ladder down to the water?
This picture is taken a bit north of the town Fjällbacka.

Bryggan Fjällbacka med hotel i backgrunden.
The bridge Fjällbacka, hotel in the back

More from the north side of town. A small boat is driving by. Wondering why I took a picture of them.

Some cranes in the background. Building new summer houses?
A faster boat, about the same view. Fjällbacka is a really nice town. I can understand why it is so popular in the summer.

Out on the pire, Yes, you will see many pictures of the Miyata.. Calm your self.

Nice scenery, sweden archipelago
Here the church tower. Bong, bong early Sunday morning.

Women makes the world go around.
Two women out for a walk on the pier.

Miyata in foreground, big boats in the background.
Out enjoying simplicity, just a bike and a camera. .

Old Miyata Trailrunner with triple butted steel. They don't make em like this anymore. Me conservative? Nah ;)
Just for you Miyata fans out there. I know you cant get enough, right? ;)

Roadtrip 2013: Havstenssund

Next after leaving Grebbestad it was time for: Visiting Havstenssund. Only because I have heard that name sometime before. And when Im already in the area, why not check it out? Thats the type of questing I ask myself..

Havstenssund road sign
Whow! Fast with the camera to see the road sign of Havstenssund. Smack it down..
Looking at the water
In place. Hmm. Not that much to see or?
Fisk och skaldjur restaurang i Havstenssund
Well, found a restaurant, fish and seafood.
Kräftburar och andra skaldjur antar jag dessa används till?
Went out to the pir, Saw some ropes. Took some pictures of it.. :)
Brown Jellyfish
Checked into the water.. Brown Jellyfishes. Have you learned how to recognize this burning bastards yet? I feel I must educate a little: It is said that urine may ease the pain (when burned). Peeing on your self might actually help. Or ask somebody else to pee on ya.. hahah. I have not been burned (yet).

Took a picture of the houses, dont know why..

Like the smell of sea and fishing, took som pictures of this ropes (again)..

XC90 vs Kia Pride
Parked the Kia at this place. Smallish vs big car? XC90 vs Kia Pride

Seafood cages. You can do so much with ropes. Fantastic.

The Havstenssund Marina.

I then continued another route and found this parking place. Behind is the water, cant continue.. unless you drive the car into the water.   Ate some food and then went back.. the same road I came..

To find out that this waste-water truck had parked i the middle of the road! WTF!? Was I mad like a stung cow? - No. Just had to stop the car and enjoy the surrounding. No worries. :) Vacation time.

Himalaya house. Living just next to the water, how awesome.
Pretty nice colors don't ya think?
The Restaurant of Havstenssund. Seafood.

Walking barefoot next to ropes and chains. Does this picture look anything like simplicity? Nah, just messy I guess. :)

Roadtrip 2013: Grebbestad

Next: Approaching Grebbestad, I was looking for some nice beaches. Grebbestad is well-known in Sweden and it is not the first time I´m here. However I really don't know what the fuzz is all about, I think there are lots of nicer places. However I had to give it another view.

Toaletter vid stranden. Grebbestad
Here is a beach, and right beside it I found this toilet.

En mysig promenad kan man göra längs med skageraks vatten. Önskar bara den var lite längre.
Going past the toilets you will find this little nice walk, right besides the sea of Skagerak.

Going back to the car and I found this workout tools. Yesery! Did do some pull-ups here. :) But got a little dirty in my hands.

Checking out the small boat harbor of Grebbestad.

What is this? Huh? Boats again.

Grebbestad parking Ica
Got back into the car and drove into town. Right besides a food store I found this parking. You could stay for a couple of hours for free. Took the bike to go. As you can see, big RV could also park here.
Walking towards simplicity? Just mountain and a bike.
Let me tell ya.. The bike you will see in many pictures. I guess you are bored with it already? I like my Miyata. Love to bicycle. Explore on bike is great! This picture has http://bemorewithless.com/ as inspiration. Check out her Header. I´m trying to get simplicity into the picture also. Hard! I´m also competing with a collegue at work to get some pictures symbolizing simplicity. :)
Another beach in Grebbestad. Looks nice. The weather is not so bath/swim friendly.. Not a single soul.

Grebbestad camping
And this is the big camping area in Grebbestad. Attracts lots of people. And I guess this is why the town is so popular.
Nice place when the sun is shining I guess.

Norwegians hiding their flag, when Swedish boat Af Grebbestad approaching. The norweigians dont want to boarded and (kölhalade?) captured I guess? (just kidding) :)

Grebbestad, Tanums kommun. Husbilsparkering
120 kr (about 18 dollars) to stay at the RV parking lot. Do not know if electric is included in that price.

Bought a mattress for the next roadtrip

I dont think I have told you this right?

Well.. Now I dont have to borrow one. This is the one I have bought:

Also a sheet and some pillows were bought.
An mattress from Ikea. I think its a new modell, Moshult. It is about 10 cm thick.

New Ikea Moshult model: 80 x 200 cm. About 10 cm in height.
It cannot be to wide or it will fit badly beside the front seat. 80x200 cm will be enough I think.
I have slept on the mattress for a while inhouse and it is nice and firm. Slep very good on it. I prefer firm mattresses instead of soft.

I will you some pictures when it is time for a sleepover in the car! :)
