Roadtrip 2013: Last town on trip, Lysekil

I arrived pretty late to the town Lysekil, trying to find a nice spot for the night. First I looked in the harbor, but no, didnt like the place.

Travelling around in Lysekil I finally found a nice spot. Pinneviksbadet.

I now, to many pictures, but I still have not taken them all in this post.

Arriving late at the town of Lysekil. Here in the harbor the company Lysekil, doing pickled herring is located. Did not find a nice spot for the night here. I sat in the harbor for a couple of hours, but did not feel welcome! The truckers and the cars really was steering me down, got me irritated. So I decided to look for a better place to stay the night.

However after some searching going up and down every street in the the town, I finally found this nice parking-lot. Free for the night. A bathing place called Pinneviksbadet.

Pinneviksbadet i Lysekil
Soon time to go to bed in my little car. :)

Laying in the car ready for sleep. There were quite a lot of people taking a late night walk in this areas so I could hear them talking about about my little car.
- Mum, is someone sleeping in that little car?
-Yes it seems to be the case.
:-)
- Is the person homeless?
- Probably.

Morning, rise and shine. A beautiful day is waiting!

Parking lot meter has broken down. Black bag over it.
I thought that I had to pay to stay here after 08.00 but fortunately the parking-meter was broken.

The Pinneviksbath also had toilets. They had forgotten to look this toilet over the night.

Back to Pinneviksbath I found this Hyundai with another construction than the one my car has. Using to transport bikes when you lack caravan towing abilities.

Here (Pinneviksbath) thirsty dogs (and other animals) could drink some water. Great!

More of the Pinneviksbath. I took a bath here also. Nice beach.

Roadtrip 2013: Sotenäs kommun, Kungshamn/Smögen

Well I was looking for a nice place to stay the night. And had some information about a place called Guleskär. In my paper it said it was for free, so I decided to head for that place. First I went through the town Kungshamn. The parkinglot should be right next to water. So I tried to find that place.

I was heading for Kungshamn when I saw this wind turbine. I though the light was good, but it does not really show in the picture.

Furhest out of Guleskär I found this parkinglot. However, my information was wrong, it was not free so I decided to continue to the town Lysekil.

This is the view from Guleskär. I think this is the town Smögen, I have been there before so did not go there. Its a nice town though.

Boats going over the water, almost hitting each other.

There were some other who also found this place.

Sign of no trespassing

Well, after being to Guleskär, I decided to continue, heading for Lysekil. And travelling back I saw this Hallberg Rassy Company, makes really nice sailboats. Sweden made. Had to stop to take a picture of it.

More about Lysekil in the next post. :)

Roadtrip 2013: Next Hamburgsund

Thought I would give Hamburgsund a quick visit. I was supprised of the nice little town. Nice atmosphere. I was in a bit of a hurry for I was planning on going to the town Lysekil for the night.

A really nice little summertown. You could take the carferry (trafikverket) for free over to Hamburgö. However I did not do that unfortunattly.

Looking for a place to park the car, and found this place. I was a little afraid that the Kia would end up in the water when parking.

Dismantled the Miyata from the rear of the car and took a ride.

On the other side of the water is Hamburgö.

Some RV:s parked at the side of the road.

Here the car ferry that goes over to the Island Hamburgö. Free of charge. Didn´t really have time to that. Next time!

Closeup on the ferry Saga Vaxholm.

Small boathouses gives a nice atmosphere, dont ya think?

If you need (/deserve :)) shoes you can buy them here at Hamburgsunds skor.

Here you can get something to eat. @ Hjalmars.

You can see my little car far away. Turkish color is bravisimo!

More of Hamburgö

Small boat harbour, a smallish bridge has been put in the water..

Volvo V40 in foreground and the island Hamburgö in the background.

The divers team are out driving. This boat really got bad black smoke from its exhaust. Engine worn out??

Back to the car again. Hanging the Miyata on the back and heading for Kungshamn, looking for a place to stay the night. Going to try out a parkinglot in Sotenäs, next to the town Smögen.

Installing power cables into the Toyota Starlet

A couple of days ago I installed some power cables in the Toyota. Preparing for the coming Roadtrip 2014. I need this electic cables so that I can charge an extra batteri. Just like I did in my previous car. You can read about it here.

Route of the cables connecting to the 12 volt battery. The red cable goes to plus, and black to minus. (of course, to basic for you). The Fuse should be as close to the battery as possible.
Here you can see where the cables enters the engine wall.

And Volla! Here they are! Ready to be connected to the leisure battery. Coming soon. More about that later.
